Up to the Challenge of Rhinoplasty in Chicago

When performing rhinoplasty, the best plastic surgeons in Chicago aim to shape noses that are well-proportioned to the rest of the facial features, like the features of this woman, who tilts her head to the side to show the sculpted angles and proportions of her face.

Over the years, I’ve worked hard to establish myself among the best plastic surgeons who specialize in rhinoplasty in Chicago. Although this procedure’s popularity ebbs and flows throughout the years, the complexity and delicacy of the nose make it one of my perennial favorites.

How long does it take a nose job to heal?

Rhinoplasty is an incredibly versatile surgery that can address an array of aesthetic or functional concerns of the nose. If you’ve undergone rhinoplasty or you’re simply researching a future procedure, you’ve probably read that it can take up to 1 year for the nose to adopt its final shape. This is because the intricate bone and cartilage structures within the nose take time to heal and settle into their new positions. Even tiny amounts of swelling are visible for many months, even if subtle. I discuss the rhinoplasty recovery process in more detail in a related blog post.

Is it worth getting a nose job?

Just like my patients, each nose is an individual with different sizes, shapes, projections, and other characteristics, giving each surgery its own unique set of challenges and triumphs. It is a wonderfully satisfying surgery to enhance a nose aesthetically while leaving a natural shape that preserves the positive features of a patient’s face. In fact, RealSelf reports that 90% of men and women who’ve had the procedure rate it as “worth it.”

The mark of success is the endpoint of an attractive nose that enhances the face and yet looks so natural that most friends and even family cannot identify why the patient looks so good. You can see some of our patients’ results for yourself by browsing through my patients’ before-and-after photos and Dr. Sinno’s rhinoplasty photos. You can also read what our patients have to say about the procedure and whether it was worth it on our Reviews page.

What is a rhinoplasty revision?

Perhaps even more professionally fulfilling, I also perform many revision rhinoplasty procedures annually. As many as a third of my nose surgery patients have had previous procedures elsewhere and were unhappy with the functional or cosmetic results. I find it deeply satisfying to give those patients the nose they have waited years to have, and I’m honored that so many choose to entrust their faces to me.

    Hello,
My friend just had an apt with you last week. I am looking for a surgeon who does rhinoplasty, as well as, the function of the nose. I have a hard time breathing. I suffer from allergies, deviated septum, and runny nose. Would you be able to help me? I also would like to smooth out my acne scares on my checks and a possible chin implant. I work for a non profit (a crisis preg center) but I do have ins. I am not sure what they will cover. How much in general would all of that cost?

Thank you for your time in this matter.

    God bless,
    Jody
